Exhibition for house and apartment – ComfortHome 2020 – coming up in October!
To contribute to economic recovery, BT 1 was the first exhibition organiser in Europe to resume safe business exhibitions and start preparations for autumn exhibitions, including ComfortHome 2020, an exhibition for housing design, repair, energy saving and home comfort technologies.
On 9 June 2020, the Cabinet approved Regulation No. 360 on “Epidemiological Safety Measures to limit the spread of Covid-19 infection”, which allows exhibitions to be held as off 10 June following the safety measures specified. In Latvia, like many other European countries, exhibitions are not subject to restrictions relating to concerts, festivals and mass events, but a series of safety measures – entirely separated visitor entrances and exits, visitor number control and flow management, reinforced disinfection of premises, etc. – should be implemented. Even with new safety measures put in place, the area and infrastructure of Ķīpsala International exhibition centre ensures the same attendance intensity level of previous years, which is sufficient for running successful and economically justified exhibitions.
With lifting the state of emergency restrictions, the building industry exhibition House I 2020 was re-opened on 12?14 June. The exhibition was a success and proved that the resuming of exhibitions helps businesses to emerge from the crisis caused by the pandemic and contributes to the economic recovery in the country. Moreover, visitor numbers and participants’ positive feedback show that exhibitions are safe and effective for achieving business goals.
ComfortHome, a follow-up of two well-known events ? House and Apartment and Environment and Energy ? will take place as a new project at Ķīpsala International Exhibition Centre in Riga, Latvia from 2 to 4 October. Its first edition in 2019 was a success and justified rebranding.
